American Welding Society Peoria Chapter Meeting
Wednesday, November 15, 2006 - 6 pm to 8:00 pm

On November 15 the Peoria Chapter of the American Welding Society held a welding open house at the Illinois Central College welding shop.  Over 50 people attended and got to see some of the new equipment the Lincoln and Miller have as well as a
blacksmith demonstration and a grind wheel demonstration.  We had booths set up so people had the opportunity to get some hands on experience.  The event was open to the public so we had experienced welders and people who had never welded before.  We would like to thank Bud Harvey of Hot Iron Blacksmith in Chillicothe,  Wayne Chuko of Lincoln Electric, Jason Rausch of Miller Electric Manufacturing and Timothy Kircher of Walter Surface Technologies for helping make the open a success.
