We will have a guest speaker come in to talk about grinding and cutting wheels. This will include some hands on demonstrations. This should be a good demonstration and be useful to your trade.
Part of your class time will be devoted to "hands on projects" so that you will gain practical experience. If you have a project in mind talk to me about it and we will see if it is possible to do in our class. The collegehas some projects that we need to do and we build projects for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter. Some of the project can be fun, such as the College's Design a Chair project. Think about this and talk to me about this. I hope you have a good time in class and learn about safety and welding.

Everything you create is graded when you turn it in. I will let you know if your welds are a check plus or check minus when you turn it in. I will grade all work as soon as you show it to me. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure I record your grade in the grade book. Check minus means you tried but you are still going to work on it until you get it right. This course is a full 16 weeks course or until all work is successfully been completed. Important: All work must be satisfactory (check plus) to be counted as complete.
I will need to take attendence and report absences to the Apprentice program.
